Wine Selection

For the new or inexperienced wine connoisseur, choosing a wine for a special occasion can be a difficult decision.  Not only do the wine texture, color, and taste have to be considered, but the circumstances at which the wine will be served.
What occasion will the wine be served for?  Will it be served among friends relaxing, over dinner, or perhaps a special occasion:  a wedding, an anniversary, a celebration?
Will wine be served with food?  Make sure you match the wine you choose to the food on your menu. Traditionally red wine goes with red meats and red sauces (such as tomato). White wine goes with fish and white meats such as pork, along with any white sauces you serve. Should you decide to serve a white
meat with a red wine or a red meat with a white wine, it is just a matter of deciding which flavor you want to stand out the most.
Wine selection is a time to enjoy yourself and trust your decision.  Wine flavor can be used to compliment as well as add interesting flavor.  You can choose a good wine or simply go with a trusted favorite.  The selection of the wine becomes a matter of personal preference of the one making the selection.
